Pastor's Pen

Hi! I'm Scott. Originally from down south, way down south! South Africa! Although my grandparents originally came from Scotland from my father’s side and England on my mother’s side.

However, over the years I have gradually made my way further north and we love it. We've lived in Hampshire, Stoke-on-Trent and now Bawtry. I’m not alone in my new adventure to Bawtry. Moving with me, is my wife, Ange, two children (Amelia and Gabriel) and an undisclosed number of cats!

The reason for our move is so that I can take up the position as Pastor at Bawtry Community Church, for which I am very excited. My wife is a Data Protection Officer of sorts and likes to geek out on privacy regulations. Not many would! I may be biased but I think she's very lovely. We have an 11-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old son, who has additional needs.

When I am not rounding up our cats, I love to build complicated Lego models, walk in nature and tell people about the best superhero of all time, Jesus. We're so looking forward to becoming part of life in Bawtry and if you happen to see us out and about (probably trying to get our kids through the shops without some tears - ours not theirs!) then please come and say hello.
